Device fingerprinting alternatives, by product shape
Choose the identity scope and fraud workflow before comparing signal counts or free quotas.
Identification with live risk context
Compare reusable identity, available signals, risk explanations and the work needed around account actions.
Fraud-platform and account intelligence
Inspect the specific device product, event model, feedback workflow and plan entitlement.
Consortium and location-backed device risk
Evaluate shared reputation, device integrity, supported surfaces and the commercial evaluation process.
Self-hosted client-side baseline
Own collection, hosting, evaluation and the additional fraud workflow. A raw hash is a different product from a trusted identity service.

When identity needs account-risk context
ShieldLabs pairs Device ID with current device/network intelligence, a risk score and Trusted, Suspicious or Dangerous outcomes for visitors, users, devices and IP. Ready-made account-level findings connect repeated device activity with abuse detection. Current observations reduce dependence on a cookie or an aging IP blocklist.
When a raw identifier is enough
A client-side library can be a useful baseline for low-stakes recognition when the team accepts responsibility for matching, storage and the response to suspicious activity. Test collisions and drift before using the result for a restrictive account decision.
